    1. So everyone in the band is guilty of what one member did? I think the album is awful, but you're a fucking idiot.

    2. You have a point, but it is still one of the best albums of the year. Some people can separate the art from the artist.

    3. Was addicted to this album when it came out. Was never even that into them. Haven't listened to it since the news broke, and not sure I could really enjoy it the same way again. Such a shame.

    4. The thing is, Brand New IS Lacey, he does all the writing and composition, no? Awful rude to call someone a "fucking idiot" for literally just trying to stop an abuser for succeeding further

Also, top-5 for me is the James Holden & The Animal Spirits. Awesome stuff.

    1. Last year, it was revealed that Jesse Lacey (member of the band) had a history of sexually abusing underage girls he met at shows in the 2000s, both virtually and physically. He would solicit nudes and make them watch him jack off on webcam, among other things. There have been two confirmed cases, but presumably more. This abuse went on for numerous years, but always started when they were underage. This came out last year, and he issued an apology, stating he has sought therapy for "sex addiction" since then, and regrets his past actions, etc., though a lot of fans did not take well to that excuse, since he was targeting underage and unwilling partners.

After this came out, Brand New cancelled their tour dates. They'll probably never come back, especially since Jesse was the figurehead of the band, and their reputation has forever been tainted. It's a horrid situation, but Science Fiction is still a great album. Just can't defend the actions of the main man who created it.

      Hope that makes sense!

    3. F**k me what a false account from another mob remember. Jesse lacey was no nice guy to women when younger but hes no peodophile. No nudes where solicited from under age girls nor did he have sexual contact with anyone underage. https://mobile.twitter.com/degvusser/status/930211774623711233/photo/1
