Sainthood Reps

Sainthood Reps are a four-piece post-hardcore/indie rock band from Long Island, New York in 2009. The band was founded by former Brand New member, Derrick Sherman, along with singer/guitarist Francesco Montesanto. The band's music is an interesting blend of influences, to say the least. They fit in with contemporaries such as O'Brother and Balance And Composure, they sound like the next generation of Brand New or Taking Back Sunday influenced bands, and have their roots in 90's alt rock such as Nirvana, The Jesus Lizard, and Sonic Youth. Sainthood Reps blend intensive riffs with melodic post-rock sensibilities, along with harsh but melodic vocals. These guys are a prime example of solid, guitar-based rock, and are definitely worth giving a try. They put on one hell of a live show too, so be sure to check that out if you get the chance. Also, a major thank you to Joris and Jacob Shumaker for the help with this post. Enjoy.
