Best Of 2014

Alright, so as promised, here's my list of my top 50 favourite albums from 2014. It's been an amazing year, with a ton of great and innovative music coming out, regardless of genre or popularity. Keep in mind, these are only my favourites, not a definitive "best of" list, despite the title. Also, ranking them was really, really hard to do, so think of the numbers are being more approximate than solidified. Enough rambling, here are the 50 albums that floored me this year. 6. Really? Get Hurt on 1? By far the worst album from Gaslight Anthem. Other than that the lists looks pretty solid.

    1. I know it's an odd choice, and definitely not one of Gaslight's best. I wasn't too keen on it when I first heard it either, but it's grown on me so much, and I think they've put out some of their best songs on it (mostly the bonus tracks). They're changing the major chord nostalgia formula up, which I take as a sign that they're far from over, or risk sinking into redundancy. Though it's definitely will not be a "great" album, like the new Run The Jewels or Sun Kil Moon albums will be, but it's a personal favourite. Despite that, it's still probably my least favourite Gaslight album, and still #1 on my list, since they are easily one of my legitimately favourite bands ever

    2. Interesting point of view kevin. Considering that its your personal favourite despite not getting critical claim proves that objectional praise for an album is hard to achieve at all, if not impossible. Well, if you think it deserves to be #1 on your list then thats fine. I kinda see why you'd place it so high on that list - I wouldnt on mine lol.

  8. I'm glad you love lana del rey's album. It is one of the best for sure. She's really inspiring. I plan to meet her one day and tell her how much I love her.
