Cloud Rat are a three-piece grindcore band from Mount Pleasant, Michigan, that began in late 2009. They play some punishing, crushing, relentless and devastating aggressive music. However, as excellent as the constant pummeling and heavy riffs are, they make some really interesting musical choices from other genres (albeit still somewhat within the realm of extreme/aggressive music) that never cease to impress and capture attention. Lyrically, they tend to cover sociopolitical issues. These guys are a fucking great band that just keep getting better, and are highly recommended. I'll be honest and say that their are only a handful of grindcore bands that I really know and listen to, and Cloud Rat are among them, because fuck, this is good stuff. I don't know if that counts as a real accolade or not. Whatever, listen to this now. Enjoy.
